For those interested in building exchange activities and partnerships in silicon carbide and semiconductors. This is also for those not yet active in silicon carbide but having expertise in other areas and interested to build activities together. Education and research – skill development and research involvement in Horizon Europe funding.
Some areas of focus (but not limited to) are:
Emerging technologies
– Wafer scale based applications in SiC photonics
– Space research by Materials and Devices for Laser-Based Energy and Information Transfer
Data-driven value creation for new business models and sustainability
– Resilient value chain in silicon carbide manufacturing
– Smart grid technology concepts in emerging energy areas (for example electric marine vessels)
The recent release (May 17, 2026) of The Joint Action Plan 2026-2030 for the implementation of the India-Sweden Strategic Partnership includes developing cooperation and promoting technology transfer in cleantech, strengthened focus on emerging technologies, strengthen cooperation on renewable energy, battery and energy storage, energy transmission and smart grid technologies, and pursuing green energy solutions jointly.
This is a good opportunity to position by joint activities. Build from early stage to have more cohesive implementation.
